Throughout the whole school, children took part in science experiments and activities as part of STEM day (science, technology, engineering and maths). In reception we discussed the meaning of Remembrance Day and the symbol of the poppy. Children enjoyed making a variety of poppy crafts and we thought about the soldiers and those who represented our country in war past and present during our 2 minute silence.
In Art Club in Autumn 1, we have had great fun making lots of Autumnal pictures and sculptures. We can’t wait for more great activities in Autumn 2!
Reception have had lots of fun over the past couple of weeks reading the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear and exploring various activities linked to the book. Reception have had a fantastic day celebrating England getting to the final of the Euros! We have done colouring activities, sports games indoors and outdoors and decorating biscuits! The children have loved listening to the football music, dancing and singing along.
Reception had a wonderful time on Thursday making minibeasts using a variety of fruit and vegetables. They learnt about the importance of minibeasts and how they help us in the environment. The children enjoyed trying new fruits and vegetables and being creative with them.
