Reading Buddy Time!

Year 6 have been doing a brilliant job as reading buddies to Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. They have read stories to the younger children and listened to the children read their phonics books in return. Reading is a favourite for everyone at St Anne’s! Keep it up everyone.

Bring it on- Engineering Day at the Beacon of Light

Pupils from Year 5 and 6 had the opportunity to take part in an engineering day today at the Beacon of Light, where they were shown the great Engineering and STEM opportunities available to them in the North-East. Writers of the Week

Well done to our writers of the week Charlie in Year 2 and Jaxon in Year 6. Each week there is a child chosen from Key stage 1 and one from Key Stage 2 who has produced some outstanding writing. I think you will agree their work is brilliant to read.

Year 4/5 DT

Year 4/5 have been investigating different shapes, materials and structures to build a sturdy prototype of a bridge. We took inspiration from some of the most famous bridges in the world and used our research to help decide which type of bridge was the strongest.
