Gardening club tea party!

Gardening club have had a wonderful last session! They enjoyed planting pumpkins and had a wonderful surprise tea party and set out the rocks they had painted.   We have had a great term gardening and we hope the children have enjoyed learning lots of new skills.

Clay Sculptures

Year 1 have been learning about land art and looked at the artist Andy Goldsworthy. We created our own nature sculpture. Before we started shaping the clay into our object, we attempted basic techniques to help us with the more complicated structures that we were making.

MoorHouse was AMAZING!

Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their extended day at MoorHouse where they took part in many fun activities in which they challenged themselves and pushed through their fears. It was fabulous to see the children develop their teamwork skills and come together to support and encourage one another.

Perfect Potters!

Year 5 have been creating their own pottery masterpieces in class and once they were fully dried, painted them carefully. The children developed their skills of moulding and used tools to create patterns and shapes in the clay. It is definitely a difficult skill but the children have designed some lovely mugs, coasters and bowls.

Making Bread 🥖

Year 1 had great fun today making bread. We followed instructions and measured out the ingredients. They turned out great and we couldn’t wait to eat it.
