Year 6 Design & Technology
In Year 6 our topic for D&T this half term has been to adapt a recipe to make it healthier. The children have learnt about nutrition and the five main food groups, they have compared recipes and identified which recipe is healthier and they have also created their own pizza recipe and adapted it to include the main five food groups. The children also looked at the importance of health and safety when cooking and the importance of good food hygiene.
The children were brilliant during their practical lesson and followed their method closely to ensure they added the correct ingredients and prepared their pizza in a clean and hygienic environment.
